We are fast approaching the spookiest time of year again. Costume stores are opening up all over the country, pumpkins are on sale everywhere you look and Halloween lovers are decorating their homes with spider webs and creepy creatures!
As if all of this wasn’t awesome enough, one of the really fun things about this time of the year is that candy manufacturers are bringing out their Halloween candy! Gummy pumpkins, squishy spiders, gooey witches, chocolate skulls. But which of these spooky snacks are gluten-free and safe for us to devour on these fast drawing in October nights?
The National Foundation for Celiac Awareness and MyGlutenFacts.com have put together this great list of gluten-free Halloween candy to help us eat safely this Halloween. Some of these items are including (but not limited to) Baby Ruth candy bars, Junior Mints, and Lemonheads!
This is a helpful list and a great start but remember that just because it’s on this list doesn’t mean it’s completely gluten-free and 100% safe for all of us to eat. Cross contamination or sudden changes in products and their manufacturing processes means that as always, be sure to double check before eating.
