This cupcake is available all month long at any of Kara’s shops, or by order online for pickup or delivery. It is made with Scharffen Berger cocoa powder and sprinkled with C&H confectioners sugar and a festive blue fondant Star of David.
The texture and taste of the Flourless Cupcake is spot on, incredibly moist, light (for a GF cupcake as we all know they tend to be more dense) and a great chocolatey flavor without being overly sweet or overly chocolately. These make a great addition to any Passover dinner, or even as just a treat for any day.
If you haven’t heard of Kara’s then I suggest visiting one of her shops or food trucks and checking out any of her four GF options. She has a GF Chocolate Coconut (Chocolate Cupcake with a Coconut Cream Cheese Frosting), a GF Vanilla Coconut (Vanilla Cupcake with a Coconut Cream Cheese Frosting), a GF Chocolate Velvet (Chocolate Cupcake with a Velvety Bittersweet Chocolate Buttercream), and a GF Sweet Vanilla (Vanilla Cupcake with Sweet Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Frosting). All four flavors come in regular or mini size. The best part about Kara’s is that they don’t discriminate and their GF cupcakes cost the exact same as the regular cupcakes!
Kara’s even uses organic locally sourced ingredients when possible, compostable packaging, as well as dedicated GF baking tools and kitchen space.
If you’re traveling to Northern California, you can find Kara’s at their two locations in San Francisco (the Marina or Ghirardelli Square), Palo Alto, San Jose, Napa, Walnut Creek, Burlingame, Monterey, or even at SFO in Terminal 2.
