So glad to see that General Mills realized there is a market for gluten free foods. Our son has been GF/CF since 2001, and didn’t even begin talking until gluten was removed from the diet. Would love to receive their new line of GF mixes!

I just recently learned that my Downs daughter has celiac disease.
She has really been pretty good about the adjustment and I try to add seasonings, cheeses, etc., to things that might be bland. The one thing I don’t like is how you are taken advantage of because of the disease — e.g., the high cost of food.

Morgan Perlson October 6, 2009 at 12:16 pm

I can’t wait to try them! I hope their products influence other companies to do the same.

Lisa October 6, 2009 at 12:31 pm

Would LOVE to try these!!

Monica Pinto October 6, 2009 at 1:15 pm

Peggy October 6, 2009 at 2:04 pm

I’m still trying to find these mixes locally … won’t give up until I do!

Lori October 6, 2009 at 5:57 pm

I have been diagnosed with celiac’s disease for just about a year now. I still have not seen any Betty Crocker mixes in my stores. I miss being able to eat my cakes, and brownies for a quick treat. I was really feeling sorry for myself, but there is really a lot of people out there who cannot eat gluten. Thank you Betty Crocker and General Mills for your support.

Lori October 6, 2009 at 6:01 pm

Diane,
I agree, some companies do take advantage of you with the increased cost and it doesn’t even taste good. The first loaf of bread I bought, fell apart so I couldn’t even make a sandwich. I cried and cried. Hang in there and pray that better and cheaper things are on the way. The General Mills cereal Rice Chex etc…. is very good, gluten free and reasonably priced. I eat that quite a bit. Take Care Lori

Charlene Morehead October 6, 2009 at 8:52 pm

Hi- I would love to try the new mixes. I have not seen them in stores yet either. I’m excited to try them!! :)

Saja October 7, 2009 at 1:00 am

Just in time for a birthday celebration, I hope! Love your site. Since I’m new to celiac, I’m still adjusting to the changes, including the cost of GF goodies.

Shelley October 7, 2009 at 8:32 pm

Why do so many GF products not come to Canada? I”m anxiously awaiting the betty crocker mixes!

Mindy October 8, 2009 at 4:35 pm

I’ve tried the brownies and loved them (so did my friends who are not gluten free!). I can’t wait to try the other mixes.

Malinda October 8, 2009 at 5:26 pm

Would love to try out these goodies with my husband :-)

Kathy Christensen October 8, 2009 at 10:43 pm

jane George October 10, 2009 at 9:56 pm

Tried the GF brownies, they were wonderful.

Wendy Briere October 11, 2009 at 1:29 pm

My walmart has just added a gluten free section in the past year, much to my happiness and glee, as the products at walmart are about twice as much at my local health food store. I picked up the betty crocker brownie and yellow cake mix this week but I haven’t tried them yet. I was disappointed that the cookies were gone or not available. Saves time!

susan October 13, 2009 at 8:35 pm

My daughter was thrilled to see these products in one of the grocery stores where we shop; after trying the brownies & the cookies, she declared them the best she has tried yet from the mixes we have made. We purchased the cake mixes & look forward to making them soon. Thanks Betty Crocker–hope we win!!!!

Hopefully I didn’t miss the deadline.

Heather October 25, 2009 at 9:48 pm

My 6 year old loves that there are more gluten free products. Now she can share what she eats with her classmates and they can’t tell the difference. I love it because it’s half the price!
